Position: General Manager
Location: New Haven area, CT
Duration: Permanent/Full Time
Salary: $90K-95k/Annual + Benefits
- Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead operations at our vibrant, multi-level brewery and hospitality venue in New Haven, CT area. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who thrives on driving revenue, building strong teams, and running a tight, profitable operation — not just maintaining the status quo.
About Us:
- Our client features a rooftop, tap room, dining area, large bar, and multiple event spaces across two floors — including a private event space that accommodates up to 85 guests. Our food and beer program are at the top of their game; we're looking for a leader who can match that excellence on the operations and management side.
What You'll Do
- Own full day-to-day operations across a large, multi-space venue
- Build and manage a strong front- and back-of-house team
- Take full command of labor management — smart scheduling, cost control, and staffing efficiency
- Actively drive sales and revenue rather than relying on existing traffic
- Grow our events business proactively — sourcing and closing new bookings, not just responding to inbound leads
- Maximize the potential of our rooftop, tap room, and event spaces
- Lead a demanding, high-volume schedule (5 days/week, up to 55 hours/week, including late nights Fri/Sat)
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience running high-volume restaurant, brewery, or hospitality operations
- Strong command of labor cost management and scheduling
- A genuine sales-driver mentality — someone who grows the business, not just operates it
- Experience managing and developing a multi-manager team
- Comfort with a fast-paced, high-energy environment with late nights and weekend demands
- Event sales/management experience a strong plus
Schedule
- 5 days/week typically including Fri, Sat, Sun
- Standard hours: 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM
- Friday/Saturday: open until 1:00 AM
