Position: General Manager – Special Event Venue
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 annually
Bonus: 3.5% EBITDA Historical EBITDA $.5MM - $1MM Bonus Potential = $17k - $35k OR MORE UNLIMITED UPSIDE

Position Summary
Tom’s Watch Bar is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead a flagship, high-volume Fast Casual venue in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’ entertainment district. This event-driven location thrives during concerts, games, and conventions, requiring a dynamic operator who can deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive profitability, and build a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years high-volume Fast Casual management experience
- 2+ years as General Manager in a Fast Casual restaurant
- Proven success managing $2MM+ annual sales volume
- Event-driven or stadium-district management experience
- Demonstrated P&L expertise with consistent achievement of food, labor, and prime-cost targets
- Experience in cook-to-order / made-fresh food operations
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Guest Experience
- Lead daily FOH and BOH operations, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards
- Manage service flow and speed during peak event surges tied to L.A. LIVE programming
- Uphold food quality, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with HACCP, ServSafe, and LA County health codes
- Resolve guest concerns promptly while fostering a hospitality-first culture
- Financial & P&L Management
- Own full P&L responsibility, driving sales and controlling food, labor, and prime costs
- Analyze operational reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Oversee inventory, vendor relationships, ordering, and cash handling procedures
- Build labor schedules aligned with event calendars and budget targets
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and retain managers, shift leaders, and hourly staff
- Develop management bench strength and succession pipeline
- Conduct performance reviews, set measurable goals, and hold team accountable
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years restaurant management experience; GM experience strongly preferred
- High-volume Fast Casual background required; event-driven/stadium experience a plus
- Proven track record of P&L management and cost control success
- Strong leadership, hiring, and team development skills
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain) and knowledge of California labor compliance
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and event-driven peak periods
- Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant reporting tools
