Position: Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to $60,000/Annual + Benefits
Position Overview:
- The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of the property's physical plant, guest rooms, and public spaces. This role ensures a safe, well-functioning, and guest-ready environment by responding to maintenance requests, performing scheduled inspections, and supporting capital and preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, safety-minded problem solver with strong technical skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Mandatory:
- 3+ years as a HOTEL Maintenance Engineer
- Must live in the market or relocate to the market (relo assistance to the right candidate)
- Knowledge/ Certification - HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair techniques
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems throughout guest rooms, back-of-house, and public areas
- Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and resolve issues with minimal disruption to guests
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and correct safety hazards, code deficiencies, and equipment wear
- Maintain the pool, boiler, HVAC, and life-safety systems in compliance with local, state, and brand standards
- Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner using the property's maintenance management system
- Assist with painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and general property upkeep
- Participate in an on-call/rotating schedule for after-hours emergency maintenance needs
- Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and parts
- Support energy management and cost-control initiatives across building systems
- Follow all OSHA, brand, and property safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hotel or commercial building maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair techniques
- EPA Universal Certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- Pool operator certification a plus
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Strong customer service orientation and comfort interacting with guests
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical certification a plus
