Job Summary:
********* is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Associate with a minimum of five (5) years of experience handling complex real estate litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing commercial landlords, owners, developers, and other real estate clients in a broad range of disputes in New York State and federal courts.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, arguing, and responding to dispositive and non-dispositive motions
- Taking and defending depositions
- Managing all aspects of discovery, including document production, e-discovery, and discovery disputes
- Preparing witnesses for depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations
- Participating in trials, evidentiary hearings, and arbitrations
- Negotiating settlements and developing practical, business-oriented resolutions for clients
- Handling matters involving commercial landlord-tenant disputes, lease interpretation and enforcement, contract disputes, property ownership and title issues, construction-related disputes, and other complex real estate litigation matters
Qualifications:
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Strong knowledge of New York civil practice and procedure
- Experience managing cases independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment
- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
